THE LATEST NEWS FROM LOUTH VOLUNTEER CENTRE

 

ISPCC CHILDLINE VOLUNTEER INFORMATION SESSIONS

The Drogheda Branch of the ISPCC are recruiting for their Childline service with their next training course due to start in January.
They are currently recruiting volunteers for Monday to Thursdays.

Childline volunteers provide a quality 24 hour service for children and young people via phone, text and online.

Information sessions will be held on Monday 26th November 12-2pm, Tuesday 27th November 6.30-8.30pm or Wednesday 28th November 6.30-8.30pM.

ANGELS COLLECTION - 8TH AND 9TH NOVEMBER

Angels is the largest campaign in the Irish Wheelchair Association's calendar and enables them to generate the funds necessary to maintain the essential services we provide to people with physical disabilities and their families throughout Ireland.

IWA provides a large range of services that help people with physical disabilities live the life of their choosing including driving tuition, personal assistance, day services, sport & activities and independent living.

Soup Kitchen Volunteers Needed

After opening similar ventures in Navan, Drogheda and Balbriggan, Irish Soup Kitchen's Ltd has brought a soup kitchen to Dundalk.

They are hoping to recruit volunteers in both Drogheda and Dundalk at the moment, for several roles. If you think that you could provide a friendly face and a listening ear to someone in need, click on the link below that matches where you would like to help out.

LOCAL COMMUNITY FIRST RESPONDER GROUPS NOW RECRUITING 

 

A number of CFR groups across the county are recruiting for new volunteers to get involved in their local area. CFR volunteers operate within the community they live or work and respond to incidents within a pre-defined geographical area such as a village or small town. The groups that are currently seeking volunteers, span from the border regions in North Louth, right through to the Monasterboice area.
