Supporting volunteers - the essentials
Volunteer Centre Ireland is hosting a Lunch and Learn event online throughout key dates in the year offering a online drop in event providing training in how to adequately support and supervise volunteers.
Volunteers who are well supported from the start are happy volunteers and happy volunteers are more likely to make a difference. Support and supervision is a key element of the volunteer management cycle and when good procedures are in place volunteer retention is higher. This 2h workshop is useful for any organisation that is interested in improving methods that help to retain volunteers and encourage good performance.
Bring your sarnie and a cuppa and join Volunteer Ireland and the Volunteer Centre network for this hour long, interactive lunchtime session .
You will join other volunteer managers to discuss the basics of Volunteer Support & Supervision such as:
- The importance of supporting our volunteers
- The four principles of volunteer support
- The difference between Support and Supervision
- Different ways of supporting our volunteers
