Launch of Community Volunteers Programme

 

 

 Community Volunteers, an exciting new national pilot project to support local needs in our communities launched on 14^th September 2021 by Minister Joe O’Brien of the Department of Rural and Community Development. Louth Volunteer Centre are one of 10 Volunteer Centres across the country piloting the programme.

 

 The Community Volunteers Programme is a great opportunity for people to get involved at the heart of their local communities. Volunteers can support one off local initiatives like events and festivals or simply be ready to pitch in when urgent needs arise in the community. Or you can do both!

 

Louth Community Volunteers will be provided with training so it is a great chance to upskill and learn while helping your community. After registration volunteers will be provided with the opportunity to attend an online induction session and they can decide at that point if they would like to proceed onto the Louth Community Volunteer programme.
