Guided Mindfulness with Dominic Cogan: The key message of this session is that we are far more effective as volunteers when we first show up for ourselves.

Tuesday September 22nd: 11:00-12:00

At Home Circuit Exercise Class with Siel Bleu: Siel Bleu is Ireland’s leading exercise social enterprise, dedicating to ensuring those who typically don’t exercise can get moving. 

Wednesday September 23rd: 11:00 (On Zoom)

Louth Volunteering Expo:  Join Louth Volunteer Centre on Zoom with some very special guests from organisations that are currently recruiting volunteers across the county to find out how volunteering can positively impact your wellbeing and what volunteer opportunities are currently available in Louth. 

The session will include presentations from 4 local organisations; SOSAD, Louth SPCA, St. Vincent de Paul Retail and Dundalk FM; and there will be time for a Q&A at the end.

Wednesday September 23rd: 15:00-16:00

Building Your Online Profile with LinkedIn: We are delighted to partner with LinkedIn this National Volunteering Week to this session on building your LinkedIn presence. 

Thursday September 24th: 14:00-16:00

Pilates with Hannah Ryan: Pilates is safe, effective, and suitable for everyone, from professional athletes to office workers to stay at home parents. 

Friday September 25th: 11:00-12:00

Intoduction to Yoga and Mediation with Eileen Rowe: Learn the basics of yoga and mediatation with Eileen Rowe and see how you can mind your mental health and and relax via meditation.

 

 

Garda Vetting Training Expression of Interest

Garda Vetting training August 27 2020 at 11am.

The training is suitable for any group that has been referred to register as an affiliate of Louth Volunteer Centre for the purpose of Garda Vetting.

*Any group that has not registered yet must have first contacted the National Vetting Bureau to receive a referral number.

The training will include the following:

  • Brief overview of the legislation: What is Relevant Work and who needs to be Vetted?
  • Requirements for Garda Vetting – ID, Forms etc.. 
  • Overview of the eVetting process.
  • Overview of Louth Volunteer Centre’s Garda Vetting Process
  • Q&A

As our offices are closed due to COVID-19, we would like to offer you the opportunity to chat with our volunteer support team face to face on Zoom. If you would like to drop in for a chat, we would love to see you!

Appointments are available any weekday between 12pm and 7pm.
