Louth Volunteer Leader Awards FAQs

vol awards FAQ

We are delighted with the positive response to our Louth Volunteer Leader Awards. We just wanted to share a few tips and Frequently Asked Questions with you today as the deadline approaches at midnight Tuesday!

- Who can submit a nomination?

ANYONE! We are receiving nominations from volunteers, neighbours, clubmates, family members - if you have come across someone who is fantastic at leading local volunteers why not show them they are appreciated and submit a nomination?

- Who can be nominated?

Anyone who supports, manages, organises or leads volunteers in County Louth. They could be a volunteer themselves or they could be a paid staff member. Many of our community organisations are run by staff who go the extra mile to ensure volunteers feel supported and comfortable in their role.

- What information do I need to give?

Let us know how they are dedicated to their role, how they support volunteers, what is the impact of what they do. It is also REALLY IMPORTANT that we get a postal address for them so that we can ensure they get their thank you card and certificate of recognition, we want them to know their community appreciates them!

- Will you be judging the awards?

The Louth Volunteer Centre team are not judging the awards, we are delighted to have three fantastic judges on board who will be independently assessing all applications. No canvassing of judges will be allowed

- When will a decision be made?

Judging takes place on Tuesday 2nd November and awardees will be announced at a Community Networking Event to celebrate International Volunteer Managers’ Day.
