Join the #VolunteerFromHome Movement and Spruce Up your Street!

Spruce Up Your Street 1 724x1024With everyone being asked to stay at home a little while longer, individuals and groups are looking for new ways to give back or simply to keep busy. Volunteer Ireland, along with ourselves and the network of Volunteer Centres across Ireland, have been working hard to identify ways of doing this while staying safe and staying at home and so the #VolunteerFromHome campaign was born!

We have a wonderful range of ways to give back while at home. The latest initiative in this campaign is #SpruceUpYourStreet. We are asking people to get involved in some small way by doing something to brighten up your own immediate surroundings, and we have lots of ideas to get you started (see graphic, right).

Not only this, but you can also be in with a chance with winning one of 3 One4All vouchers worth €25 euro each if you choose to take a picture and email it to our colleagues in Dublin City Volunteer Centre before Sunday 10th May!

More details on the photo competition here.

We would also love to see what volunteering you get involved with, you can find us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. And don't forget to use the hashtags #SpruceUpYourStreet and #VolunteerFromHome.

If you would like to find out more about other ways to get involved in volunteering from home, we have set up a special link on I-VOL that will bring you to the latest list of #VolunteerFromHome roles, click here to access this list.
